Staff Engineer ATLASSIAN

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience: 5.5 years.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence Data Center and Cloud environments.
• Proven experience in Atlassian Data Center to Cloud migrations using JCMA, CCMA, Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of user management, permissions, workflows, customizations, and project configurations.
• Experience in migration planning, pre-migration assessments, data cleanup, validation, and post-migration support.
• Good understanding of data integrity, migration performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, execute, and support Atlassian Data Center to Cloud migrations for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Assess existing Atlassian environments, identify migration risks, and develop migration strategies.
• Perform pre-migration cleanup, configuration review, data validation, and post-migration verification.
• Utilize Atlassian migration tools (JCMA, CCMA, Cloud Migration Assistant, and APIs) to execute successful migrations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure minimal downtime and smooth cutover.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Document migration plans, best practices, technical procedures, and lessons learned.
• Provide post-migration support and optimize Cloud environments to ensure successful adoption.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
