What you’ll do at our Coomera clinic:

Therapy Service Delivery
Identify and complete assessments appropriate for each client
• Manage a discipline-specific caseload, including complex clients, using a case management approach
• Contribute to the selection and maintenance of assessment and therapy resources
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust tailored therapy programs aligned to client goals
• Deliver services across clinic, home, school, and community settings as required
• Collaborate with allied health team members to achieve optimal client outcomes
• Develop and deliver specialised programs such as group therapy and parent workshops
• Maintain strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality requirements
• Ensure practice remains aligned with current best practice and contribute to continuous service improvement

Therapy Programs
Develop and implement tailored therapy programs for each client, including:

  • Completing initial appointments
  • Developing goal plans based on identified support needs
  • Creating measurable, targeted intervention strategies
  • Collaborating with other health professionals where required (e.g. Speech, Psychology)
  • Preparing home and session-based resources and activities
  • Developing session plans as needed
  • Conducting school and home visits when appropriate
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting goals and programs accordingly
  • Completing reviews and reports as required
  • Identifying suitability for additional services or group programs and incorporating into plans where appropriate

Reporting and Documentation
Record all treatment notes and activities in PMS within 24 hours of sessions
• Provide timely, high-quality reports to stakeholders (e.g. clients, families, health professionals, NDIA)
• Ensure reports and correspondence meet ESA standards
• Report and document client incidents or complaints in the appropriate systems

Funding and Payments
Align therapy plans with available funding and funding types
• Obtain and review NDIS plans where relevant to inform therapy planning
• Provide accurate information to support correct invoicing of client-related services

Professional Development
• Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and case discussions at an appropriate cadence
• Maintain accurate records in line with organisational processes and manager direction
• Utilise professional development opportunities to build role-relevant skills

Organisational Requirements
Comply with and promote policies relating to WHS, emergency procedures, child safety, and cultural competence
• Participate in risk identification, assessment, and prevention activities
• Engage in networking and maintain collaborative relationships with professionals and agencies
• Maintain discipline-specific registration/membership and adhere to relevant codes of conduct
• Uphold privacy and confidentiality in line with organisational policy and legislation

What you’ll bring:

Experience/ Skills:

• Demonstrated experience delivering high quality evidence-based and goal-focused therapeutic intervention in an early intervention and/ or paediatric allied health setting

• Understanding and supporting the principles of individualised services including the ability to adapt services to meet individual needs

• Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of children and families and external stakeholders

• Demonstrated senior clinical knowledge with significant experience in relevant discipline

• Demonstrated experience mentoring, supervising and/or supporting others of the same discipline (including supervision of graduates and/ or allied health students)

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills

• Exceptional observational and report writing skills

• Ability to work independently within and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team

• Support development of early career clinicians by engaging in clinical supervision and providing CPD opportunities

• Participate in reward and recognition program

• Participation in meetings

 

Qualifications / Compliance:

  • Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Registration with AHPRA and Registration with SPA
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current Drivers’ Licence and vehicle
  • Current Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration (state specific)
  • National Police Check
  • Accredited First Aid Certificate
