Job Description

As a People Advisor at PortmanDentex, you’ll be a friendly and trusted guide to colleagues across the group—offering thoughtful, practical support that helps teams flourish. You’ll bring empathy and expertise to every interaction, making sure our approach to people is consistent, fair and grounded in our values.

You’ll be a key part of our close-knit People Business Partnering Team and work hand in hand with our wider People teams and Operations. Together, you’ll help build workplaces where everyone feels they belong, can grow, and are celebrated for who they are and what they do.

This role offers the chance to work closely with our mergers and acquisitions team, with a strong focus on Employee Relations and case management . Experience in these areas would be a real advantage and is highly valued.

We welcome your application to our People Advisor vacancy if you have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Confident in leading TUPE processes and consultation activity, offering steady guidance and clarity during periods of organisational change.
  • Experienced in handling a wide range of employee relations cases with care, confidence, and compassion.
  • A CIPD qualification or meaningful real-world HR experience that reflects deep commitment to people and culture.
  • Comfortable working alongside external partners like ACAS, union reps, and employment lawyers to find balanced, respectful resolutions.
  • A natural relationship-builder who becomes a trusted voice for colleagues and leaders alike.
  • Well-versed in the employee journey and HR processes, with hands-on experience in fast-paced, change-rich settings—especially those shaped by mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to a competitive basic salary, our benefits also include:

  • Wellbeing Support: 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and GP service plus an in-house Mental Health First Aider programme
  • Additional Reward: bonus scheme based on practice performance
  • Extra Leave: Birthday off and option to buy 3 more days
  • Family Support: Enhanced maternity/paternity leave
  • Financial Security: Life assurance and pension scheme
