Manager, People & Culture

As Manager, People & Culture, you play a vital role in attracting, developing, engaging, and supporting our colleagues while fostering an exceptional workplace culture. This role partners closely with leaders across the hotel to deliver impactful people initiatives, provide day-to-day People & Culture support, and help create an outstanding colleague experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, delivering an exceptional candidate experience while promoting the hotel as an employer of choice and supporting recruitment initiatives, events, partnerships, and onboarding activities.
  • Facilitate, and continuously enhance learning and development programs, including onboarding, leadership development, service excellence, and compliance to build colleague capability and support business objectives.
  • Champion colleague recognition and engagement by leading recognition programs, supporting performance review processes, conducting new hire engagement check-ins, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Act as the Director, People & Culture in their absence by providing guidance and coaching to leaders on People & Culture matters, including colleague relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and people initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of People & Culture programs, events, and strategic initiatives that support colleague engagement and organizational success.
  • Build strong relationships across the hotel by delivering responsive, professional support to colleagues and leaders, promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Support the hotel's workplace Health and Safety program by assisting with initiatives, training, committee participation, compliance activities, and continuous improvement efforts as required.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the People & Culture team by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while supporting departmental priorities and other related responsibilities as assigned.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Previous operational, luxury hospitality experience is a strong asset
  • Proven experience with creating and executing training and full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders
  • Computer literacy and excellent skills with all Microsoft Window applications required
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities,
  • Driven and energetic self-starter who thrives on a challenge
  • Proven communication and facilitation skills
  • Exceptionally organized, disciplined, proactive and innovative
