Job Description

The Common Area Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the exceptional cleanliness, organization, and presentation of Twin Farms’ shared guest spaces.

This role continuously cleans, refreshes, and inspects common areas to ensure they remain polished, comfortable, and guest-ready throughout the day. The position requires excellent attention to detail, discretion, efficiency, and a genuine commitment to luxury hospitality and Forbes Five-Star service standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, refresh, and inspect shared guest areas throughout the shift.
  • Maintain lounges, hallways, entrances, stairways, public restrooms, spa and fitness areas, activity spaces, and other common areas.
  • Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, clean glass, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
  • Remove fingerprints, spills, debris, cobwebs, insects, and other visible imperfections promptly.
  • Clean and restock shared guest restrooms throughout the shift.
  • Replenish towels, toiletries, paper products, refreshments, and other guest amenities.
  • Straighten furniture, pillows, books, games, collateral, and decorative items.
  • Monitor high-traffic spaces and refresh them before and after guest use.
  • Maintain entrances, porches, walkways, patios, and assigned exterior guest areas.
  • Respond promptly and discreetly to spills, tracked-in dirt, changing weather, and unexpected cleaning needs.
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing inspections of assigned areas.
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, lighting, pest, equipment, or property-condition concerns.
  • Enter or communicate service and maintenance requests through the designated property system.
  • Maintain housekeeping closets, cleaning carts, equipment, and supply areas in an organized condition.
  • Monitor inventory and restock supplies before they are depleted.
  • Gather and transport towels, linens, laundry, waste, and recycling as needed.
  • Assist with laundry, guest-room Housekeeping, special events, and other departmental priorities when required.
  • Operate company vehicles or golf carts carefully when assigned.
  • Acknowledge guests warmly and provide assistance in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Complete work thoroughly, efficiently, and according to Twin Farms’ presentation standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining an exceptional environment.
  • Previous housekeeping, cleaning, custodial, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
  • Positive, dependable, and service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working discreetly in active guest areas.
  • Professional presentation and guest-ready demeanor.
  • Clear and respectful communication.
  • Ability to recognize and report cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns.
  • Comfortable using cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment safely.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods based on business needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies, linens, laundry, waste, and equipment.
  • Ability to push cleaning carts and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to travel between buildings and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation $21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
